Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Expands Third High-Grade Gold and Silver Discovery at Klaza Project, Yukon - Drilling Intersects 11.13 g/t Gold and 65.9 g/t Silver (12.45 g/t Gold EQ) over 2.45 m at the Central Klaza Zone

October 8, 2014 - Rockhaven Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:RK) (“Rockhaven”) is pleased to announce results for ten diamond drill holes from the Central Klaza Zone at its 100%-owned and road-accessible Klaza property, located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt of southern Yukon. The Central Klaza Zone is situated along strike and to the east of the Western Klaza Zone (see September 17, 2014 news release) and 1,200 m northeast of the Western BRX Zone, the primary target of the 2014 drilling program (see July 15, July 22, July 29, and October 6, 2014 news releases). Trenching and drilling on the Central Klaza Zone since 2010 have delineated gold and silver mineralization over an 800 m strike length and from surface to a maximum depth of 325 m.

Highlights from newly released drill holes testing the Central Klaza Zone are as follows:
  • 22.90 g/t gold and 1100 g/t silver (44.90 g/t gold EQ) over 0.62 m - Hole 171
  • 11.13 g/t gold and 65.9 g/t silver (12.45 g/t gold EQ) over 2.45 m - Hole 199
  • 5.65 g/t gold and 466 g/t silver (14.98 g/t gold EQ) over 1.32 m - Hole 210
  • 8.33 g/t gold and 201 g/t silver (12.35 g/t gold EQ) over 1.48 m - Hole 222

“Drilling at the Central Klaza Zone has successfully extended high-grade gold and silver mineralization to depth and confirmed the continuity of mineralization through in-fill drilling in the western portion of the target,” stated Matt Turner, CEO of Rockhaven Resources. “The multiple structures identified near surface appear to coalesce into stronger structures at depth, which is positive for any potential mining scenarios at the Central Klaza Zone.”

Mineralization in the Central Klaza Zone differs from the other three areas explored in 2014 in that it is a laterally extensive complex of steeply dipping and anastomosing veins, breccias and sheeted veinlets emplaced within a 25 to 100 m wide structural corridor. The 2014 drilling at this zone focused on areas where veins were expected to coalesce, forming more discrete and higher grade veins similar to those in the Western BRX and Western Klaza Zones.

Since 2010, Rockhaven has tested the Central Klaza Zone with 52 diamond drill holes. Highlight results from previous drilling at the Central Klaza Zone include KL-10-07, which graded 24.7 g/t gold and 1,087 g/t silver over 2.53 m, and KL-12-133, the deepest hole ever drilled at this target, which returned 11.90 g/t gold and 5.23 g/t silver over 6.70 m.

Significant results from the 2014 holes that tested the Central Klaza Zone are shown in the table below. Maps, sections and an expanded assay list, which includes drill results from previous years plus copper, lead and zinc values, can be viewed at Rockhaven’s website atwww.rockhavenresources.com.

+ Represents the diamond drill hole length. True widths are estimated to be approximately 80-90% of the interval.
*Gold equivalence (EQ) has been calculated using metal prices of $1200 per ounce gold and $24.00 per ounce silver, to be consistent with earlier calculations and assumes 100% recoveries of both metals.

All analyses for rock and core samples from the 2014 program were performed by ALS Minerals with sample preparation in Whitehorse and assays and geochemical analyses in North Vancouver. Core samples are routinely analyzed for gold by fire assay followed by atomic absorption spectroscopy (Au-AA24) and 48 other elements by four acid digestion followed by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ME-MS61). Samples that exceed the detection limits of the routine methods are assayed for silver, copper, lead and zinc by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (Ag/Cu/Pb/Zn - OG62) and gold by gravimetric analysis (Au-GRA22). Rigorous procedures are in place regarding sample collection, chain of custody and data entry. Certified assay standards, coarse reject duplicates, field duplicates and blanks are routinely inserted into the sample stream to ensure integrity of the assay process. All of the results reported have passed the QAQC screening.

The 2014 program was managed by Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited (Archer Cathro). Technical information in this news release has been approved by Matthew R. Dumala, P.Eng., a geological engineer with Archer Cathro and qualified person for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101.
