Mr. Turner obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Ocean Science (Specialization Geology) from the University of British Columbia in 2002. He has managed and participated in numerous exploration projects throughout Western Canada, focusing mainly on precious metal vein, IOCG and diamond deposits. Mr. Turner has been Rockhaven’s CEO since 2008 and was appointed President in 2015.
Mr. Martino is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 10 years’ experience currently providing CFO and Financial Reporting Consulting services to companies listed on Canadian stock exchanges within the clean technology and mineral resource sectors. Mr. Martino had previously spent several years in assurance services for public companies at Davidson & Company LLP. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Simon Fraser University in 2010, and received his CPA, CA designation in 2013.
Mr. Estrada joins Rockhaven as its new Chief Operating Officer.He is a Mining Executive with extensive experience in mining operations spanning the Americas.Mr. Estrada worked for Capstone Mining Corp. for 14 years at the Cozamin and Pinto Valley Mines.He is the founder and owner of Eleven Mercantile and Technical Solutions LLC and holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Tecnologico de Durango and has taken other certifications on Risk, Safety, Leadership, Maintenance and Process Management, Cut-Off Grade and Mine Strategy Optimization in several institutions.
Bruce Youngman has thirty years of experience in the minerals industry. From 2008 to 2010, he was President and COO of Canplats Resources Corporation, during which time the 4 million ounce Camino Rojo deposit in Mexico was outlined and the company acquired by Goldcorp Inc. for $300 million. Mr. Youngman previously held senior positions with Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., including President, Vice-President and Director, and was closely involved in the acquisition and expansion of the Pebble Gold-Copper Porphyry Project in Alaska. Mr. Youngman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of British Columbia. He is currently a Director of Strategic Metals Ltd., Silver Range Resources Ltd. and ATAC Resources Ltd.
Mr. Eaton brings over 50 years of exploration experience and 40 years of public company involvement to Rockhaven.He has gained exceptional knowledge of Yukon geology and has contributed to several important discoveries throughout his career.Recently, Mr. Eaton was one of three members on an independent panel tasked with assessing the state of Yukon’s mining and exploration industry and to provide recommendations for legislation related to future mineral development.Mr. Eaton is the President and CEO of Strategic Metals Ltd., which currently holds a 33% interest in Rockhaven.He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta.
Glenn Yeadon is a barrister and solicitor practicing primarily in the field of securities law. He has been a partner with Tupper Jonsson & Yeadon or an associate of the firm (through a personal law corporation controlled by him) from 1983 to present. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia receiving a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1975 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1976.
Mr. Shisler is a co-founder of Condire Investors in Dallas, Texas where he serves as a Managing Director. Previously, he served as a partner in Blue River Partners, L.L.C. Prior to that time, Mr. Shisler was a principal of Willis Stein & Partners, a Chicago-based private equity fund with $3 billion of equity capital under management. Prior to Willis Stein, he was an associate at Simmons & Company International, a Houston-based investment bank focused on the oilfield services industry. Mr. Shisler holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and a BA in Political Science from Rice University (1993) and an MBA, with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (2000).
Brad Thrall is a Mining Executive with more than 35 years of experience including corporate executive roles and mine development operations positions, most recently as a co-founder and President of Alexco Resource Corp. until it was acquired by Hecla Mining in September 2022. His previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at Alexco, General Manager and Process Manager with Viceroy Resource Corp., Process/Environmental Manager at Barrick Gold Corp. (Lac Minerals (USA)) and Metallurgical Manager with Goldcorp Inc. (Wharf Resources (USA) Inc.). Brad holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and an MBA from the University of Colorado and has been an active Director and Chair of several industry organizations.
Mr. Thompson has spent the last three decades building and operating open pit and underground mines in Canada, Australia and the Middle East.He has supervised large development projects including the $450 million construction of the Jabal Sayid mine in Saudi Arabia for Equinox Minerals and the $100 million expansion of the Huckleberry Mine in BC for Huckleberry Mines Ltd.Mr. Thompson has also worked on northern operations as the former General Manager at the Minto Mine and as the COO at JDS Silver which operated the Silvertip Mine in Northern BC.
Mr. Quin is a mining geologist with over 40 years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry, including finance, development, and the operation of producing companies.Over his career he has held upper management positions with numerous mining and exploration companies, including President and CEO of Midas Gold Corp. (now Perpetua) and Sherwood Copper Corp., President and COO of Capstone Mining Corp. and Executive VP of Miramar Mining Corporation.At Sherwood Copper, he led the advancement of the Minto Mine, which is located 60 km north of Rockhaven’s Klaza Deposit, through feasibility, construction and production.Through this work, Mr. Quin acquired extensive experience with Yukon’s permitting and regulatory processes.
Rob Carne obtained a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1974, and a Master of Science (Geology) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1979. He has been a geologist with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited since 1977 and was a principal with that firm from 1981 to 2002. He is now an independent geological consultant. Rob has been actively involved in mineral exploration, principally in the Yukon since 1972, and he has authored or co-authored a number of technical papers on Yukon mineral deposits. He has served as a director and officer of numerous public companies on the TSX Venture Exchange since the mid-1980s.
Loralee Johnstone has over 25 years of experience in Community and Government Relations, Environmental Management, Permitting, and Policies and Procedures. Loralee holds several senior leadership roles including her current positions as Vice President, Environment and Social Governance at Minto Metals Corp. and President of the Yukon Chamber of Mines. Her past positions include Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility at Whitehorse Gold Corp., Director, Permitting & Community Relations at Coeur Mining and key locate roles including Manager for Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board (YESAB) and Chair of the Yukon Water Board.
